What is InterVarsity?
We are a bunch of students, like yourself, getting together to search out community and purpose in our lives. We believe that in order to put the pieces of life together we need God to help us and this life find meaning. We believe that God wants to be close and personal in our lives showing us how to live an abundant life, not distant and just someone in the sky that we will see if we make it to heaven. We believe that God cares and wants to show us what life should look like.
What are we about?
The purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God's Word, God's people of every ethnicity and culture and God's purposes in the world.
We are not Church.
InterVarsity is an Inter-denominational organization, we are not tied to a specific church. We do offer times of worship, bible study and community. However we encourage everyone to attend and be part of one of the many Bible believing churchs in our community.
Who can be a part of InterVarsity?
Anyone, no matter what you believe or think, you are welcome to come.
We have many ways you can be a part of this InterVarsity community at UMD and seek out purpose in your life. We are no strangers to fun! There are many retreats, road trips, house parties, mission’s trips and more that we do throughout the year.
